Christa (b. 1986) is an abstract painter from the Midwest.  Her works reveal the patterns found in the natural world & cosmos. Her etherial pieces have been in collaboration with West Elm, Hilton hotels, Minted, Samsung - The Frame TV and in private art collections worldwide.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I am fascinated by our universe and it’s balance of chaos & order. I create abstract paintings that reflect the recurring patterns found in the natural world and cosmos. Painting on raw canvas, I use thin washes of paint & scattered drops of ink. After my contribution to the piece is complete, the materials are allowed to flow, interact and change to reveal the final piece. The expansive and calming quality of my paintings encourages peaceful introspection.
